Gallery

Created in 1998, Galerie Zlotowski has been dedicated to modern art and avant-gardes of the early XXth century since its opening. We furthermore developed an increasing interest towards more recent artists of the second half of the century. The gallery has become an international reference while taking part in the rediscovery of the pictorial work of Le Corbusier and organized many exhibitions dedicated to this multi-faced artist. In 2019, the gallery has loaned several pieces for a major exhibition on Purism for the 50th anniversary of the Tokyo Museum of Western Art, a building designed by Le Corbusier. In the spring of 2022, the gallery has shown its seventh exhibition dedicated to the artist, focused on drawings and collages executed in the 1950’s with some loans from Fondation le Corbusier.
In 2021, the Gallery has shown trois exhibitions: Georges Valmier, Sonia Delaunay and Sheila Hicks. In the fall of 2022, the Gallery will dedicate a show to Pic Adrian on his paintings of the 1960s. Some of the works of Adrian – an artist we want to foster the rediscovery - will be visible on our stand of Paris Plus by Art Basel.
We frequently organize exhibitions with catalogues dedicated to artists such as Albert Gleizes, Amédée Ozenfant, Kurt Schwitters Simon Hantaï, Jean Dubuffet, Joaquin Torres Garcia, Stéphane Mandelbaum, François Morellet, Ella Bergmann-Michel and Robert Michel. Galerie Zlotowski is well-recognized for its commitment to show high quality works and the publishing of catalogues written by the most renowned experts.
The gallery takes part to several international art fairs such as Art Basel or TEFAF. We have the privilege to have museums as clients. The Gallery has often loaned pieces for important exhibitions. A work by Sophie Taeuber-Arp is part of the comprehensive retrospective that is taking place at the Kunstmuseum in Basel, the Tate Modern in London and the MoMa in New York in 2021. We also sent three works by Kurt Schwitters for an exhibition dedicated to Claude Simon, who received the Nobel Prize for literature in 1985, at the Musée d’Art moderne de Collioure. We will loan several works by Sonia Delaunay at the Kunst Museen of Krefeld for its exhibition “Maison Sonia” that will take place in the fall of 2022.
